How to Marinate the Flank Steak

Let's not  make this complicated...

All you need is a few simple ingredients to make a delicious meal!

How to Marinate the Flank Steak

What you need for a flank steak is something salty to penetrate the meat and relax the proteins.

How to Marinate the Flank Steak

If you want to  make your own  marinade,   try this  easy recipe:

–1 cup soy sauce – 1/4 cup  Worcestershire sauce – 1/4 cup  balsamic vinegar

How to Marinate the Flank Steak

Put the steak in a ZipLoc bag along with the marinade and let it soak at room temperature for about an hour.

Flip the bag over every so often to get  good even coverage.

Keep the ZipLoc bag  with the marinating  flank steak in a  baking dish just  in case it leaks

You're almost there!

After the steak has marinated for an hour, remove it from the plastic bag and pat dry with paper towels.

Let's not be subtle.

Turn your Weber Grill to High and let it preheat for 15 minutes.

This flank steak doesn't take long to cook when your grill is cranked up to high!

Why preheat?

It gives the heavy cast iron grates time to get scorching hot so you get better grill marks.

Get that steak  on the grill!

– Grill for three minutes. Rotate the steak by 90 degrees and grill for three more minutes. Flip the steak over and repeat.

It's almost time  to eat!!

– Check the internal temperature with a digital thermometer. -- Remove from the grill when an internal temperature of 135F is reached in the thickest part of the steak.

Tent the steak with aluminum foil and let it rest while the rest of the meal is being prepped.

My favorite way to serve the flank steak  is to make  "Steak Bruschetta"

And yes, this stuff was freaking delicious! Grill on!
