Traeger Smoked Brats
Bratwurst are smoked with a two step process and served on a bun with mustard and pickles.
Smoking brats on a Traeger
What you want to keep in mind is that you only want to cook brats to an internal temperature of 160-165F.
Any hotter than that and the casing will burst.
Start your Traeger
Start by smoking the brats at 225F for 30 minutes.
Then, take them off the grill for the next step.
Turn up your Traeger
Turn up your grill to it's highest setting.
Return the brats and flip them every 3 minutes.
They are done when they have an internal temperature of 160F.
These brats are delicious on a bun with mustard and a side of pickles.
But, even if you eat them plain, you won't regret it!
