Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 2026

Quality Grill Parts is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn commissions by linking to Amazon.com. This page explains how our affiliate relationships work and how we approach product recommendations.

1. How Affiliate Links Work

When you click an "Amazon" button or product link on this Site and purchase the linked product (or any other product during the same Amazon session), we earn a commission. The commission rate varies by product category but is typically 3-4% for grills and grill-related products.

Important: the price you pay is exactly the same whether you click our affiliate link or go to Amazon directly. The commission comes out of Amazon's revenue — not yours.

2. How We Mark Affiliate Links

Per FTC guidelines, we mark every affiliate link with appropriate technical signals:

  • HTML rel attribute: rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"
  • Visible disclosure: footer text appears on every page noting the Amazon Associates participation
  • Per-page disclosures: pages with significant affiliate content include disclosure language near the affiliate buttons

If you're unsure whether a specific link is an affiliate link, assume any "Shop on Amazon," "See on Amazon," "Check Price," or similar button is. We don't try to hide affiliate links — making them obvious is part of FTC compliance.

3. Our Commitment to Honest Recommendations

The fact that we earn commissions doesn't determine which products we recommend. Specifically:

  • We recommend products we genuinely believe are best in their category, regardless of commission rate
  • Higher-priced products earn higher commissions, but we frequently recommend the cheaper option (e.g., Weber Spirit over Genesis for most buyers, Q2200 instead of Q1200 for the slight upgrade, etc.) when it's the smarter buy
  • Discontinued products earn no commission but we still cover them (Genesis II 300 Series, Summit S-670, Traeger Pro 575/780) because real owners need information about real grills
  • Products from competitor brands are recommended when they're better than the equivalent Weber or Traeger (see our Grilla Grills coverage)

4. What Affiliate Programs We Participate In

Currently, we only participate in the Amazon Associates Program. We do not have direct relationships with grill manufacturers (Weber, Traeger, Grilla) for paid placement. We do not receive free products from any manufacturer.

If we ever join additional affiliate programs (e.g., direct programs with specialty BBQ retailers), we'll update this page.
