Weber Summit · Parts Guide
Weber Summit is Weber's premium gas grill line — built between 1998 and today across four distinct product generations. Each generation has different part specifications, and ordering the wrong burner tubes or flavorizer bars is the most common mistake Summit owners make. This guide helps you first identify which Summit you own (serial number location, distinguishing features, production year ranges), then connects you to the right parts for your specific model. Covers Summit Silver, Gold, Platinum, 400/600 Series E/S variants, and the current Weber Summit redesign.
Summit owners spend more on replacement parts than Spirit or Genesis owners — partly because the parts are bigger, partly because the grills last longer and reach the part-replacement stage of ownership. The good news: most Summit parts are still produced (even for 20-year-old grills) and most repairs are DIY-friendly. The trick is matching parts to the correct generation. Start with Identify Your Summit Generation and then jump to the parts section that fits your grill.
Step 1
Ordering the wrong parts is the most common mistake Summit owners make. Use the quick identifier below to narrow down your grill's generation before shopping parts.

Check the serial number plate on the front of the cart below the control panel. Weber serial numbers begin with letters that indicate production year ranges. Alternatively, count your flavorizer bars:
When in doubt, contact Weber at 1-800-446-1071 with your serial number — they can identify the exact model.
Most Common Tier
The main production Summit era covers 4-burner 400 Series (E/S-420 through E/S-470) and 6-burner 600 Series (E/S-620 through E/S-670). Most Summit owners have grills from this tier.
Each 400 Series burner tube measures 20-1/2" long with top-side flame hole porting; the 600 Series uses 6 tubes of the same length. Always replace the full set — a single new burner burning hotter than aged neighbors causes uneven cooking. Aftermarket 304-grade stainless tubes from QuliMetal, Hongso, or Uniflasy run roughly 50-65% less than OEM and meet specification when bought from a 4.5-star, 500+ review listing.
The 660 and 670 sear burner is a separate 20-3/8" tube with adjustable air shutter, spider screen, and heat shield flange. It's only present on those two model numbers — other Summit 600 grills don't have a sear burner and don't need this part.

Dedicated sear burner — only fits 660/670 variants.
Summit flavorizer bars are heavier-gauge stainless than the Spirit and Genesis equivalents — designed for premium longevity. Expect 8-15 years of life under normal use. Weber OEM part numbers: 67668/67669 for 400 Series, 67670/67671 for 600 Series. The 400 Series uses 8 bars total (two sets of 4); the 600 Series with smoker box uses 10 bars (two sets of 5).
Aftermarket flavorizer bars are the single best value swap for Summit owners — quality matches OEM at roughly 40-60% off. Verify the listing's stainless grade (304 only) and bar dimensions match your generation before ordering.

Summit cooking grates are 9mm premium stainless rod across three section sizes. The center section (#70372) is shared between 400 and 600 Series; the side and wide sections vary by model. Match Weber OEM part numbers stamped or printed on your existing grates before ordering — aftermarket grates often advertise "fits Weber Summit" without specifying which section.

19-1/4" x 15-3/8". Weber OEM #70374.
Each main burner knob has its own valve and igniter assembly — buy one assembly per knob you're replacing. The propane and natural gas versions look nearly identical externally but use different orifice sizes (1.03 LP vs 1.65 NG). Installing the wrong fuel-type orifice will cause severe over- or under-firing and is a genuine safety hazard.

NG orifice (1.65). NOT interchangeable with LP version.
Lighted control knobs illuminate when the matching burner is lit — a nice premium touch on Summit grills. The design changed in 2012, and the two versions are not interchangeable. Match the production year to the right part number (#70867 for 2007-2011, #91538 for 2012+).
Weber OEM #70867. Set of 2. LED-illuminated when burner is on.
Weber OEM #91538. Updated design — NOT interchangeable with 2007-2011.
Pre-2007 Summits
The Summit Silver, Gold, Platinum A/B/C/D models (1998-2006) used different part specifications than the 400/600 Series. Parts for these earlier grills are harder to find — some require contacting Weber directly.
Key parts needed
For these earlier Silver/Gold A/B grills, Weber is typically the most reliable source. Aftermarket availability is limited because the line is 20+ years old.

C and D variants are more complex due to smoker box and rotisserie features. Individual parts are available but require careful model identification — check the serial number plate before ordering.
Shop Summit Platinum parts on AmazonFor ALL pre-2007 Summit grills: the drip pans are the most frustrating part to source locally. They're an odd Summit-specific size not stocked at most home improvement stores. Order the 10-pack from Amazon — lasts 2-3 years of normal use.
Current Lineup
Weber redesigned the Summit lineup in 2023 with updated aesthetic, Weber Crafted frame integration, and new part specifications. Parts for the current Summit are NOT interchangeable with 400/600 Series (2007-2022) parts.
The current Summit uses updated burner tube specifications, new flavorizer bar dimensions, and Weber Crafted-compatible grates. Always verify your grill's production year before ordering — a 2022 Summit 670 uses completely different parts than a 2024 current-generation Summit.
Part identification tip for current Summit owners: Weber's support site (weber.com/support) has a "Find Parts" tool where you enter your grill's model number and serial number to see compatible parts. For current-generation Summits still under warranty (10-year cookbox/lid, 5-year grates/flavorizer bars, 2-year other components), file warranty claims before purchasing retail replacement parts.

Buying Strategy
For most Summit parts, you have both OEM and aftermarket options. Here's how to choose.
Manufactured or authorized by Weber, sold through Weber.com, authorized dealers, and Amazon. $97-240 per set depending on part. Highest-quality stainless, perfect-fit guaranteed, warranty coverage preserved, and full Weber customer support.
Buy OEM when:
Third-party brands — QuliMetal, Hongso, Uniflasy, BBQration — make Summit-specific parts at 50-65% off OEM. $40-130 per set. Quality varies by brand: stick to 304-grade stainless and listings with 4.5+ stars and 500+ reviews.
Buy aftermarket when:
Our recommendation: aftermarket for flavorizer bars and grates (savings are significant, quality matches OEM). OEM for burner tubes and igniters (where precision fit matters most). Always check Amazon reviews before ordering aftermarket — 4.5+ stars with 500+ reviews is the minimum trust threshold.
DIY Installation
Most Summit replacement parts are DIY-friendly and take 15-45 minutes per part. Here's what to expect for the most common replacements.
Flavorizer Bar Replacement (10-15 min, easy). Remove cooking grates. Lift old bars from the support brackets. Place new bars in the same slots, angled edge facing down. Replace grates. No tools required.
Main Burner Tube Replacement (20-30 min, moderate). Turn off gas supply. Remove grates and flavorizer bars. Unscrew burner mounting screws from the back of the cookbox. Carefully disconnect the gas valve. Install new burner, reconnect, and leak-test with soapy water before lighting.
Cooking Grate Replacement (5 min, easy). Lift old grates out, drop new grates in. Verify they sit flat without rocking.
Ignition Module Replacement (30-45 min, moderate). Disconnect the igniter battery. Unscrew the module from the back of the control panel. Disconnect the wiring harness from old electrodes. Install new module, reconnect, and test each burner before full use. Often requires removing the front cart panel for access.
Drip Pan Replacement (2 min, easy). Slide out the old pan from the grease tray slot. Insert the new pan. Replace every 3-5 cooks or whenever the pan is visibly saturated.
Important safety note
For any part replacement involving gas connections (burner tubes, valves, regulators), always test for leaks using soapy water before first use. Spray on all gas fittings, open the gas, and look for bubbling — any bubbles indicate a leak that must be addressed before lighting the grill. When in doubt, have a Weber-authorized service technician inspect the work.
Shopping Guide
Four primary sources for Summit replacement parts. Each has advantages for different buyer scenarios.
OEM parts straight from Weber. Best for warranty claims, hard-to-find older parts, bundled kits. Shipping 5-10 business days. MSRP pricing. Customer service: 1-800-446-1071.
Widest selection of both Weber OEM and aftermarket parts. Best for fast Prime shipping, price comparison, and customer reviews. Aftermarket brands: QuliMetal, Hongso, Uniflasy, BBQration.
Specialty Weber authorized dealer. Best for hard-to-find legacy parts (Silver/Gold/Platinum era), technical support, model-specific identification. Authorized since 1996.
Limited Summit parts in-store (mostly common flavorizer bars and grates). Best for emergency replacement when you need the part today. MSRP pricing. Selection narrow.
Our typical recommendation: Amazon for 80% of Summit parts purchases (widest selection, best prices, fast shipping, customer reviews to verify aftermarket quality). Weber Direct for warranty claims and hard-to-find OEM-only parts. Grillparts.com for legacy Summit parts (pre-2007) where specialty expertise matters. Local stores only for emergency replacements.
